Cancer Grand Challenges: a global funding platform to solve the toughest problems in cancer research, founded by Cancer Research UK and the US National Cancer Institute
Cancer Grand Challenges is a global funding platform founded in 2020 by the two largest funders of cancer research in the world: Cancer Research UK and the National Cancer Institute in the US.
This partnership builds on the success of Cancer Research UK’s Grand Challenge, launched in 2015 which is currently supporting 7 multidisciplinary teams across 9 countries.
Through a series of £20m (c. $25m) awards, we’re giving international teams of researchers the freedom to think differently, act creatively and explore truly innovative science to take on some of the toughest questions in cancer.
Nine new challenges are now open for applications. The expression of interest deadline is 22 April 2021.
